Being adaptable is vital for this prototype, thus a modular design was crafted to enable rapid expansion and evolution of the platform
DESIGNED FOR CHANGE
A removable camera core module concentrates redesign work to a single simplified part. This allows for a rapid adoption of newly acquired cameras and minimizes the design work required.
Once the new core design is completed, a new module can be assembled by printing additional copies of the module body and focuser from proven g-code.
KEEPING THINGS SIMPLE
Screw type focuser reduces complexity and makes swapping camera modules as easy as unscrewing one and replacing it with another.
